Along with design, I enjoy exploring other creative avenues, such as macro photography, where art has allowed me to inform and inspire scientific exploration. I began experimenting with macro photography around 7 years ago using simple phone lenses and have evolved my techniques to include digital microscopy. I have taught myself a range of photo-stacking techniques and continue to seek out ways to blend the realms of creativity and science. My appreciation for “the little things” fuels my drive to continuously get closer!

The photo is a part of a series of photographs I have experimented taking with a digital microscope. "Red Spotted Purple Butterfly Wing 1" is a final photo that was compiled from a combination of multiple images, all photo stacked together in Photoshop.
